SOCIAL ISSUES
As a candidate for the New York State Assembly I recognize and respect your right to know my views concerning all issues. I shall attempt to be direct and unambiguous concerning my positions so that you might have accurate information upon which to make your selection in this year's election.
ABORTION
It is my opinion, based on my understanding of scripture that life begins at conception and that the destruction of that life is offensive to God and destructive to our society under any circumstances. Therefore, if elected to the State Assembly, I will oppose any legislation which provides for or assists in the destruction of the unborn. Additionally, I shall sponsor and promote legislation which eliminates state funding of abortion.
GAY RIGHTS/MARRIAGE
The constitution of our country and our state recognize the source of all rights to be God and that governments were ordained by God to secure those rights which proceed from Him. Therefore, it is inconsistent with my understanding of scripture and law to assume that one has the right to corrupt himself and therefore corrupt the society in which he lives.

I am therefore, opposed to any establishment of law which promotes, protects or defends an individual's right to corrupt our society by homosexual activity, homosexual marriage or any other socially abhorrent practice. As State Assemblyman, I will work to eliminate the teaching of homosexuality as an alternative life style in our schools and promote our nation's biblical and historical standards of morality.
WELFARE
In our society there exists two types of welfare. That which provides for the need of the poor and that which makes the wealthy, more wealthy, both at the expense of the working class. I will address each.

Though well intentioned, the practice of providing cradle to grave daily needs for individuals has produced a large segment of our society which is no longer capable of caring for themselves. Welfare represents a set of chains which bind both the recipient and the taxpayer. Neither is benefited and both are in need of freedom. Therefore as Assemblyman I will work to eliminate social welfare in every form so that those that have been enslaved by it might be set free and experience the joy of productive life.

Corporate welfare is the practice of transferring large amounts of public funds to private entities. Though expressly prohibited by our State Constitution, this practice continues unopposed by either our legislature or the courts. As State Assemblyman, I will oppose any gifting of public funds to any corporate entity thus keeping the product of taxpayer labor in the hands of taxpayers.
