CONSTITUTIONAL ISSUES
As a candidate for the New York State Assembly I recognize and respect your right to know my views concerning all issues. I shall attempt to be direct and unambiguous concerning my positions so that you might have accurate information upon which to make your selection in this year's election.
The Right to Bear Arms
The second amendment was placed into the United States Constitution as a safeguard against an oppressive government. Our forefathers were well aware that an unarmed civilian population was incapable of enforcing their rights and that any government was capable of enslaving it's people if unopposed.

Therefore, as State Assemblyman I will work to repeal all constitutionally offensive gun control legislation including licensing of citizens and registering of firearms. In addition, I will oppose any legislation which attempts to further restrict firearm ownership by law abiding citizens.
RIGHT TO CONTRACT
Consistent with provisions of the Constitution, each individual has the right to contract, particularly for labor. The insinuation of the state into this contract is offensive to the individual and the constitution. In addition, the states insinuation into contracts for labor, increases the cost of labor with no corresponding benefit to either parties of the contract.

Therefore, as State Assemblyman, I will work to eliminate these costly intrusions into our personal liberty.
PERSONAL INCOME TAX
The personal income tax has been a topic of much debate for the past eighty years. It has long been believed that the application of a tax on labor was offensive to the Constitution of the United States.

There now exists an irrefutable body of evidence which proves that the application of a personal income tax is unconstitutional. In addition, many in the legal community are calling for legislatures and the courts to rule this practice to be unconstitutional. Should this be accomplished, every citizen working will be able to keep 100 percent of his earnings making each person more capable of providing for himself and his family those things which are necessary.

As Assemblyman, I will push for the elimination of the personal income tax in New York and press for a declaration of the unconstitutionality of the Federal Income Tax. In addition, I will seek legislation to protect individuals form civil and criminal prosecution by taxing agencies such as the IRS or the State Department of Taxation.
